What Wellness Visits and Preventative Screenings Are Shared With Impact Health Sharing?

Watch this video to learn which annual wellness visits and preventative screenings are shared by the Impact Health Sharing community — and which are shared from day one with no PRA or co-share.

Impact Health Sharing facilitates sharing for one annual wellness visit per member age 6 and older, including a $150 allowance toward routine lab work — both shared at 100% with no Annual Primary Responsibility Amount (PRA) or co-share required. For members under age 6, one annual wellness visit is shared at 100%, with additional visits following the American Academy of Pediatrics timetable and subject to the PRA and co-share. Preventative screenings are separate from wellness visits and are eligible for sharing based on age and frequency guidelines for mammograms, Pap tests, PSA screenings, and colonoscopies — subject to the PRA and co-share. Vaccinations and immunizations are not eligible for sharing, though Impact Health Sharing can help members find low-cost vaccine options.

Hi, I'm Dr. Shel Maharaj.Staying proactive about your health means understanding what wellness visits and diagnostic tests are available. Let's dive into the specifics.

Every member age 6 and older receives one annual wellness visit each year. Included is a $150 allowance for various lab tests. Here are the tests you can use the credit toward:

* Complete Blood Count (CBC)
* Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP)
* Lipid Profile
* Hemoglobin A1c
* Vitamin D
* C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
* Fecal Occult Blood Test
* Pap Smear
* PSA

Remember, these wellness visits and lab allowances are 100% shareable, with no PRA or co-share attached.For our youngest members under age 6, one annual wellness visit is shared at 100%, even if you haven't met your PRA. If they need additional visits, we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics wellness visit timetable. Those additional visits are eligible for sharing once your PRA and co-share have been met.As a reminder, we do not share into vaccinations and immunizations. Those expenses will not be shared, even if they are administered during a wellness visit. Give us a call and we can help you find low-cost vaccine options.Now, preventative screenings are a bit different. Preventative screenings are seprate from wellness visits and are shared as follows:

For women:
* A Pap test is eligible every 3 years between ages 21 and 65.
* A mammogram is eligible every year from ages 45 to 54, then every 2 years beginning at age 55.

For men:
* A yearly PSA screening is eligible starting at age 45.

For all members:
* A colonoscopy is eligible every 10 years starting at age 45, or every 5 years for high-risk members.

Keep in mind that these preventative screenings are subject to the PRA and co-share. This means you must meet your household PRA before Impact members share in these bills. Of course, if you have not yet met your PRA, the amount you pay will be applied toward it.In the end, understanding your sharing options can help you stay on top of your health. Talk with your healthcare provider to learn more and stay well.

I just used the FREE telemedicine consultation service right from home! The doctor called me 3 minutes later and immediately sent in a prescription to my pharmacy! My husband picked up the prescription and with my Impact card it only cost $7.50, instead of 30.00. I'm all set now and didn't even need to leave my house

Just yesterday I called IMPACT to help my mom who’s on Medicare and so confused with A&B, supplemental and part D. The Impact representative offered to call and walk through everything so she could feel confident. This showed me they actually care about people.
