WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting members, providers, and other stakeholders with inquiries related to healthcare services, eligibility, billing, and general information. The role involves ensuring member satisfaction, accurate information dissemination, and thoughtful resolution of member concerns.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Member Interaction: Handle incoming calls, emails, or chats from patients regarding appointments, medical inquiries, insurance queries, and billing concerns.
  • Medical procedure verification: Verify eligibility, explain member guidelines, and assist in resolving any issues.
  • Billing Support: Assist members with understanding medical bills, co-share, and Primary responsibility amounts due. Help resolve billing disputes.
  • Information Dissemination: Provide accurate information about healthcare services, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve member complaints, concerns, or escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with interdepartmental teams and providers to ensure seamless member care.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring HIPPA compliance.
  • Training & Development: Stay updated on healthcare sharing and guideline changes and policies to provide informed assistance to members and providers.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in healthcare not required. 
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Familiarity with healthcare software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.

Salary range: $19-$22

8:30-5 (4 days a week) 9:30-6:00 1 day
